Read This Before You Download
Saving a video does not always mean you may keep it. Streaming services have terms of use, and many videos are protected by copyright. In the US, copying protected content may break those terms and the law. The Keeprix homepage does not discuss this, and the TechRepublic article does not either. We did not review the law, so use any downloader only for videos you own, videos you made, or content you have permission to save, and ask a lawyer if you are unsure.
This article does not recommend using any tool to bypass copy protection.
Price and Value
The Keeprix homepage shows no price, only a "Buy Now" button and a free download. The StackSocial price is the one we found.
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| List price | $159.99 |
| Deal price | $95.99 |
| You save. | $64.00 |
| Percent saved | 40% |
| Cost per computer if used on 2 | $48.00 |
The TechRepublic article calls this a 60% discount. By our math the saving is $64.00, which is 40% of $159.99. The deal price is 60% of the list price, which may be where the mix-up comes from. Use the dollar figure.
The Refund Window
Sixty days is a long time to test software. The page says you can request your money back within that window, but it gives no steps and no conditions. Before you buy, find the refund page and note who to contact. Test the app in the first week; with a few videos you have the right to save, so you have time to ask for a refund if it does not suit you. Write down your purchase date and keep your receipt so you can show when the 60 days began and ended.
If you buy through Stack Social instead, the refund period was not mentioned in the TechRepublic article. That is a good reason to buy directly if the 60-day promise matters to you.
Why Consider Keeprix?
The first reason is the free download. You can try the app before you pay.
The second reason is the file choice. MP4 plays almost everywhere, and MKV is useful for videos with several audio or subtitle tracks.
The third reason is the refund. Sixty days is clear and easy to remember.
The fourth reason is the one-time price. A lifetime licence avoids a monthly bill.
The caution is the unclear price. The homepage shows none; the best price we found is eight months old, and the legal rules for saving videos depend on what you save.

Keeprix vs. 4K Video Downloader
| Parameter | Keeprix | 4K Video Downloader |
|---|---|---|
| Free option | Free download, limits not shown | Starter plan, free with quantity limits |
| Lifetime price | $95.99 on StackSocial (list $159.99) | Personal: $25 one-time; Pro: $60, reduced to $45 |
| Yearly price | Not shown | Lite, $15 per year |
| Devices | Up to 2 computers | Not stated on the page |
| Refund | 60 days | Refund policy linked, days not stated |
| Systems | Windows and Mac | Not stated on the page |
| Sites named | Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, Max, Paramount+, YouTube, TikTok | YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, SoundCloud, Facebook, Twitch, and more |
The 4K Video Downloader Personal plan at $25 costs $70.99, less than the Keeprix deal. Keeprix has the longer, clearer refund promise. The two apps name different sites, so match the tool to what you need to save, and only save what you may.
Compare Video Downloader Prices
Cost Over Time
One-time and yearly prices cross at some point. Here is the math using the prices above. These are our calculations.
| Plan | Year 1 | Year 3 | Year 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4K Video Downloader Lite, $15 per year | $15 | $45 | $75 |
| 4K Video Downloader Personal, $25 once | $25 | $25 | $25 |
| 4K Video Downloader Pro, $45 once | $45 | $45 | $45 |
| Keeprix lifetime: $95.99 once | $95.99 | $95.99 | $95.99 |
The Lite yearly plan would take about 6.4 years to cost as much as the Keeprix deal. That is $95.99 divided by $15. The personal plan at $25 never catches up. If price is your only concern, the cheaper plan wins. If the 60-day refund, the file formats, or the sites that Keeprix names matter more, the extra cost may be worth it.
Who Might Use Keeprix?
Think about plain, lawful uses. A teacher may want an offline copy of a video the school owns. A creator may want a backup of their own uploads. A traveller may want a clip they made, stored on a laptop before a long flight. A team may want to keep a training video it produced.
In each case you hold the rights. If you do not, the tool is the wrong choice.
