Harbour Lifestyle’s End of Season Sale: Is Luxury Garden Furniture Finally Within Reach?

At a Glance

• Harbour Lifestyle is a UK retailer of garden and indoor furniture, with a showroom visit by appointment.
• The end of season sale offers up to 20% off selected items with the code EOS20, while stock lasts.
• Interest free payment plans run from 12 months to 2 years on the site's finance pages.
• Several sets include a free winter cover.
• All prices below come from the Harbour site and are in pounds.

So, What Are You Actually Buying Here?

Harbour is not a cheap garden shop. It sells outdoor sofa sets, dining sets, pergolas, parasols, fire pits, loungers and lights, plus bedroom, living room and dining furniture indoors. The homepage lists styles in rope weave, aluminium, outdoor fabric and wood.

That matters, because a sale on expensive furniture is only a good deal if the furniture is built to last. The brand points to rust proof aluminium frames and quick dry cushions on several sets. We cannot test them from a screen, so treat those as claims.

A banner on the site also shows a 5% code called SPRING5, but its timer read zero when we looked, so it may have expired. Finance is subject to status, and Harbour says it is a credit broker and not the lender.

Four Sets Worth a Look

1. Paia 6 Seat Round Dining Set in Linen

• Round acacia wood table with six cushioned chairs
• Water resistant polyester cushions
• Includes a free winter cover, per the listing
• In stock, with delivery in 7 to 10 working days

This is the best value set on our list, and the free cover adds to the saving. A round table suits smaller patios and makes talking easier.

A curved shape feels softer and works on a lawn edge or by a pool.

Best For: People who want a lounge style set at a mid range price.

3. Pello 3 Seat Sofa Set in Grey

Price: £2,999, down from £3,799 | Save: £800

• Wicker style frame with quick dry cushions
• Free winter cover included

The saving is bigger in pounds here, and the free cover protects the cushions through winter.

Best For: Households who want a classic sofa set with cover included.

4. Evora 8 Seat Rectangular Dining Set in Mocha

Price: £3,499, down from £5,499 | Save: £2,000

• Teak table with eight rope chairs
• The biggest cut on the page, at about 36%
• In stock, with delivery in 7 to 10 working days

This is the big ticket piece. The markdown is large, but it is still a large spend.

Best For: People who host often and want a statement dining set.

Is the Furniture Built for British Weather?

This is the question that matters most with garden furniture. Harbour sorts its range by material, which helps you match the set to your garden.

Aluminium sets are the low maintenance choice, since the frames do not rust. Rope weave sets look softer and need cushion care. Wooden sets, like teak and acacia, look natural but need regular oiling, and the site publishes a wood care guide. Outdoor fabric sets use quick dry cushions made for rain.

Our advice is simple. If you do not want weekend chores, pick aluminium. If you love the look of wood, budget time for care. And if you will leave furniture out all winter, make sure a cover is part of the deal.

How to Stack the Savings

Think of the sale as layers, not a single number.

First, check the product page. Some prices are already reduced, and the saving is shown in pounds. Second, see whether the EOS20 code applies to your item, since it covers selected items only. Third, look for a free winter cover, which is worth money if you plan to leave furniture outside.

Last, think about how you pay, and compare the finance total with the cash price. A 0% plan spreads the cost, but missing a payment can cost you. Only use it if the monthly amount fits your budget.

How Harbour Compares

Competitor details are general and change often, so check each retailer before you decide.

The Indoor Side of Harbour

Harbour is not only for the garden. The homepage also lists bedroom furniture, living room pieces, kitchen and dining items, home decor and indoor lighting, including solid oak ranges.

If you like a matching look inside and out, that is a plus. But the garden sale is the main event right now, so judge the indoor range on its own prices.

Things to Check Before You Pay

• Pre order dates. Some items show due dates in December and January, so confirm what is in stock.
• Out of stock items. The Pello Deluxe Curved Sofa Set was marked out of stock on our visit.
• Optional protection. The site offers an insurance add on through Loxa, which costs extra.
• Care. Wood and rope furniture need regular care, and the site has a wood care guide. Ask what the guarantee covers.
• Delivery. Check the date for your postcode.
